Toffees cash boosts Moyes

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has vowed to back manager David Moyes with major transfer funds next summer.

The Toffees spent big last summer to land England striker Andy Johnson from Crystal Palace and centre-back Joleon Lescott from Wolves and Kenwright has pledged to support Moyes yet again.

He said: "There will be money in the summer. I always believe that if you put someone in charge then you must support them.

"We have always got to be looking to reach that little bit further. If you look at Everton on and off the field, you will see that it is going in the right direction.

"I also believe that the majority of Everton fans feel deep down that David is the man to lead us forward.

"He has been here five years and I would hope he would be here another five years."
