Toffees starlet set to commit

Everton starlet Jack Rodwell has agreed a five-year contract with the high-flying Premier League outfit.[LNB] The 17-year-old midfielder scored his first goal for the club in Sunday's 3-1 FA Cup success over Aston Villa.[LNB]Rodwell has expressed his delight at opening his account for The Toffees and hopes his goal is the first of many.[LNB]However, Everton are set to secure his services on a long-term basis, after agreeing a five-year deal and only a few formalities remain to be concluded before he officially puts pen to paper.[LNB]Honour"Just to play for Everton is an honour, but to get the goal, I am made up," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"I've had other chances and I'm glad it's out of the way, hopefully there's more to come.[LNB]"My ambitions are just to keep working hard and when I do get on to make an impression."
