Toffees handed Rovers opener

Everton will face Blackburn away on the opening day of the new Premier League season on Saturday August 14.[LNB] Following a home fixture against newly-promoted Wolves on August 21 and a trip to Aston Villa a week later, the Toffees then take on Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United at Goodison Park on September 11.[LNB]The first Merseyside derby of the season will take place at Goodison on October 16, while over the festive period Everton have games against Manchester City at Eastlands on December 18 and Birmingham at home on Boxing Day.[LNB]David Moyes' side will begin the new year with a trip to Stoke on January 1, while the return fixture against Liverpool is at Anfield on January 15.[LNB]Everton will end the Premier League campaign against Chelsea on May 22 at Goodison Park.
