Substitutes Apostolos Vellios and Royston Drenthe scored late goals to secure Everton's first home victory of the season with a 3-1 win against Wigan.

Franco di Santo's deflected shot had put the visitors ahead in the first half only for Phil Jagielka to equalise just 97 seconds later.

After the break Everton pressed for a winner and Vellios headed in with six minutes remaining before Drenthe clinched it deep into injury time.
