'Tired' Pienaar determined to play on

Steven Pienaar is not prepared to let the effects of a hard Premier League campaign hamper his World Cup, despite saying his "legs are tired".[LNB] The South Africa midfielder, a key figure for the host nation at the finals, looked a little jaded in his country's 1-1 draw against Mexico in the opening match last Friday.[LNB]He was ultimately withdrawn by coach Carlos Alberto Parreira during the second half of the match at Soccer City.[LNB]Ahead of Bafana Bafana's next assignment against Uruguay on Wednesday, the Everton player said: "I played a lot of games in the last months and my legs are tired.[LNB]"But as long as my mind and my heart are willing, I'll keep pushing myself as hard as I can go.[LNB]"It's a league of high intensity and when you are coming off a tough season, its normal that sometimes the body gives in.[LNB]"But for a tournament like the World Cup, you want to give your best and you can't let your body hold you back. You just have to push on."[LNB]South Africa are in Group A for the competition, where all the teams are level on a point each after France and Uruguay drew 0-0 in Cape Town in their opening match.[LNB]
