Stubbs delighted with England stars

Former Everton defender Alan Stubbs says England recognition for Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines reflects well on the club. The defensive trio are all in Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Ukraine, with a number of David Moyes' squad also away with their countries this week."It's fantastic for the club and it's great for them; there's nothing better than being capped for your country or called into the squad," Stubbs, now working as a coach for the Merseysiders, told evertonTV."It's a great achievement to have three in the squad - and all defensive players. It tells us where we're going and, obviously, we must be doing something right."The fact we've got three internationals in the England team will help attract players. That's to add to the other players we would have had in the international team. I think it's probably the first time in a long time we've got in excess of a dozen players who will be playing internationals, so it's good times.[LNB]
