Sir Alex Ferguson says 'diver' tag is unfair on Ashley Young - Old Trafford Match Zone

Ashley Young, widely criticised for the manner in which he won two penalties in the last two home games, was left out in favour of Nani on Sunday but Sir Alex Ferguson used his programme notes to hit back at criticism of the England winger. Reflecting on the win over Aston Villa, the United boss wrote: 'It took another controversial moment to set us on our way with the media enjoying a field day...Ashley is in danger of being targeted as a diver. 'It doesn't take much for the press to get a bandwagon rolling these days and in my view it's quite unfair.'
