Scunthorpe 1 Everton 5: A walk in the park for Moyes' men

Everton strolled into the fourth round with a 5-1 win at Scunthorpe but Leighton Baines believes victory was achieved 24 hours earlier.

Manager David Moyes took his squad for a stroll around Glanford Park on Friday so they could become familiar with the stadium and surrounds, and it worked a treat.

Moyes did something similar in 2009 when Everton were drawn against Macclesfield in the third round and they ended up reaching the final that year.

Baines said: 'It was a good idea to show some of the lads where we were playing, just so there were no nasty surprises.

'We have come unstuck against teams like this in the past so nobody knew more than us that we had to go out there and play like we did when we beat Spurs in midweek.'
