Sbragia concern for Sunderland

Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia admitted his side are deep in relegation trouble after a demoralising home 2-0 defeat by Everton. The Black Cats were beaten for the ninth time this season in the Barclays Premier League at the Stadium of Light as they wasted an opportunity to ease themselves clear of the fight for survival. They remain only four points better off than derby rivals Newcastle and Middlesbrough inside the drop zone, but now face tough trips to Bolton and Portsmouth before a the curtain falls with Chelsea's visit to Wearside. Sbragia said: "It's the same situation we were in last week and the week before, to be honest with you, and it's a worry, it is a concern. "We had a great opportunity to try to get the gap opened up a bit - a point would have done me, to be truthful with you - but unfortunately, we didn't achieve that. "It was that old story, we gave poor goals away and we were punished for it."
