Saha has Moyes smiling
Everton boss David Moyes has hailed the 'near-genius' qualities of in-form frontman Louis Saha.
The Frenchman recently revealed that he suffered depression during an injury-ravaged spell at Manchester United, in which he contemplated quitting the game.
He has, however, knuckled down to life at Goodison Park over the past 18 months and is currently enjoying one of the most productive periods of his career.
Saha has bagged seven goals in eight appearances this term, fully justifying the faith shown in him by Moyes after he was ushered to the exits at Old Trafford.
"There are times Louis does things with the ball that are near-genius," the Scottish coach said in The People.
"He can do incredible things and when he does you realise how difficult it was for him when he was injured so often.
"He would say himself that there were occasions when he was perhaps not in the strongest frame of mind.
"But now he is far stronger, physically and mentally, and he has proved that we were right to take a chance on him."
Moyes added: "We knew when we signed Louis that we were taking a risk but the longer he has been with us the more he has turned into the player we all know he can be. His attitude has been fantastic."
