Saha delighted with fitness

Louis Saha believes his fitness is the best it has been for years after coming through Everton's pre-season unscathed. The French striker has strugged with injuries in the past few years, making just 10 league starts last season with the Toffees. Saha notched his third pre-season goal for David Moyes' side against Malaga and has missed just one training session since early July. The former Manchester United and Fulham marksman is pleased with his progress and confirmed that confidence is high ahead of the visit of Arsenal. "It is a long time since I felt this good," he told the Liverpool Echo. "The last full pre-season I had was three years ago with Manchester United, so hopefully both myself and the team will be able to reap the benefits. "The last few weeks have been very good for me. I feel ready to go now and know I can cope with the intensity of games. I expected a tough pre-season and that is exactly what it's been. "But I got through it and I'm really happy about that. I needed to get through it and it has also been nice to get a few goals, as that is what a striker needs to do."
