// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Everton youngster Jack Rodwell feels that his Europa League double against Sigma Olomouc was the best moment of his career so far.[LNB] The 18-year-old produced two fantastic long-range strikes as Everton cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Czech side.[LNB]Rodwell became the Toffees' youngest scorer in European competition with his first goal on Thursday night.[LNB]Despite being proud of making history at Goodison Park, the midfielder insists that setting up a safe passage into the next round was his primary aim.[LNB]"It's brilliant to break records and be in the history books but the most important thing was getting the win," Rodwell told the Liverpool Echo.[LNB]Confident"Once the first goal went in, we all lifted our games and you could see the confidence coming through in our passing."[LNB]Rodwell made his first Premier League start against Blackburn in August of last year and scored his first Everton goal against Aston Villa in the FA Cup fifth round.[LNB]However, he believes his performance against Sigma outweighs anything else he has achieved in his career so far.[LNB]"This was a massively important game for us, one that we had to win to stay in the competition, so to score and make a big contribution makes it the best night of my career," he added.[LNB]"But we have got to keep moving forward. We might have a good lead but the tie isn't over. We've got a 4-0 lead and we've got to keep it."[LNB]WinDavid Moyes' side suffered a humiliating defeat to Arsenal on the first day of the season, a result Rodwell was glad the team were able to put behind them.[LNB]He said: "After the Arsenal game we were all desperate to get a win, so to do it in that manner was very pleasing.[LNB]"It really hurt what happened last weekend. All the team, all the squad - we were all affected by it. But we stuck together and we got back on track.[LNB]"I couldn't get that Arsenal result out of my mind and really everybody has been thinking about it all week. That's why it was so important to get this result.[LNB]"We've worked hard in training to try and get it out of our heads but there is no getting away from it. It was a terrible result, a terrible performance and we had to put that right."[LNB]
