Rodwell focused on club form

Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell is flattered by calls for him to be promoted to England's senior side but insists he will not be distracted.[LNB] The 19-year-old, who will play for England's Under-21s against Uzbekistan on Tuesday night, is keen to get off to a good start with the Toffees in the Premier League.[LNB]"I'm looking forward to the new season," Rodwell told The FA website[LNB]"It's flattering to hear those things (about the full squad) but all I can do is concentrate on my job... and that's Everton's first game against Blackburn this weekend.[LNB]"I always believe in my ability no matter what level I play at.[LNB]"Hopefully I can get a lot of games for Everton this season and what happens after that is a bonus.[LNB]"It's inspiring to see... the likes of Joe Hart and James Milner, Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere (in the senior side) - hopefully a few more can do that too."
