Midfielder Jack Rodwell and forward Victor Anichebe are set to make their return from long-term injuries after being named in Everton's reserve side to face Blackpool on Wednesday afternoon.
The 19-year-old Rodwell has not played since sustaining an ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on August 29.
Anichebe has been out since the final match of last season because of a knee injury but has been named as a substitute for the second string.
First-team striker Jermaine Beckford will partner Magaye Gueye up front in the game at Finch Farm.
