Robins saved as Ruddy lands

Bristol City have signed Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy on an emergency loan basis after regular number one Adriano Basso picked up a knee injury in training.
The Toffees youngster has spent time on loan with Stockport County and Wrexham this season and has moved to Ashton Gate on an initial seven-day loan contract.
Basso has been a virtual ever-present for the Robins this season, but the training ground injury he picked up on Friday left the promotion-chasing club without a fit goalkeeper on their books for Saturday's trip to Carlisle United.
Back-up options Sean Thomas and Chris Weale are sidelined with hip and back injuries respectively.
Everton signed Ruddy for £250,000 from Cambridge United in 2005 and the 20-year-old has spent the past few seasons continuing his education in the Football League.
