Rindaroy set for Everton talks

Molde defender Knut Olav Rindaroy will travel to Everton tomorrow to discuss a possible move, according to the Norwegian club.

The 24-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, has scheduled a two-day visit to meet Toffees officials.

"I can confirm that Knut Olav according to plans will visit Everton from Tuesday to Thursday," said Molde director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen.

"We have got signals that they want to fly him over so that he gets to see the club and meet with them - but that doesn't mean that anything is clear yet."

Although a deal may be some way off, Nordstrand Jacobsen confirmed they are agreeable to the left-back moving to Everton.

"We have signalled what the financial parameters should be for a possible sale," he told Norwegian newspaper Romsdals Budstikke.

"Of course we are looking at getting the best possible price for Knut Olav but at the same time we are realistic to what the market looks like and that his contract expires after this season."

Having sold Lucas Neill, signed as a free agent in September, to Galatasaray for £750,000, Everton manager David Moyes is keen to bolster his defensive ranks.

Moyes is still awaiting the return of centre-back Phil Jagielka from a cruciate knee injury while Tony Hibbert is currently sidelined with a hernia problem.
