Ridsdale baffled by Ledley

Chairman Peter Ridsdale has dismissed suggestions Cardiff City are not prepared to offer highly-rated Joe Ledley an improved contract.[LNB] The 22-year-old Wales international, who is being linked with a move to Everton, has just 12 months to run on his existing Bluebirds contract.[LNB]Ledley is quoted in the Western Mail as saying "It's down to the football club to come and offer me a contract", but Ridsdale insists Cardiff are ready and willing to discuss a favourable contract.[LNB]The former Leeds supremo is keen to reward Ledley with improved terms along with a get-out clause should a Premier League club come knocking for his signature.[LNB]Puzzled"We're a bit puzzled by Joe's attitude," explained Ridsdale in The Sun.[LNB]"We're happy to give him a new deal, which would include a pay rise and a get-out clause should a Premier League club come in for him. [LNB]"He would be in a win-win situation."[LNB]
