Pienaar calls for final push

Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar has warned that the club must keep up their recent good form if they are to claim a European spot this season.

The Toffees have lost just one of their last 13 games, pulling nine points clear of West Ham in seventh place, but the South African has told his team-mates to keep battling or they could get caught.

"The last few months of the season are going to be tough and we can't drop any points as we are chasing European football," warned Pienaar.

"We've got some important players returning to form and that is good for us.

"We can't think that we're home and hosed and we've got to keep pushing all the way.

"But we have a manager that is so sharp and alert and he will be keeping us on our toes.

"We know we have to go and keep picking up the points."
