Pienaar fired up for run-in

Steven Pienaar has warned the Premier League that Everton will not take their foot off the gas as they enter the final stages of the season. The Toffees have impressed this term and they continued their fine form at the weekend with a 3-1 triumph over Stoke City. David Moyes' men are currently well-placed for a European berth in sixth, but pushing Aston Villa and Arsenal in the fight for a top-four finish is still realistic. And Pienaar is fired up for the run-in as the Merseyside club prepare for their forthcoming clash at Portsmouth, live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1. The South African told the Liverpool Echo: "The last few months of the season are going to be tough and we can't drop any points as we are chasing European football. "We've got some important players returning to form and that is good for us. We can't think that we're home and hosed, and we've got to keep pushing all the way. "But we have a manager that is so sharp and alert and he will be keeping us on our toes. We know we have to go and keep picking up the points."
