Tim Cahill vs Benfica[LNB]EVERTON club captain Phil Neville has promised Benfica a Bonfire Night to remember when the Eagles of Lisbon come to Goodison Park in a fortnight.[LNB]Benfica took a makeshift Everton side to pieces to inflict the heaviest European defeat in the club's history at the Stadium of Light.[LNB]But a defiant Neville rapped: 'The game at Goodison will be different. You'll see a different Everton side. I'm convinced that we can beat them.[LNB]'I think the scoreline tonight tells you we've made five mistakes. We can't make those mistakes against the top European sides if we want to progress and win this competition which we do.[LNB]'When the chips are down and our backs are to the wall and people are writing us off, that's when this club gels together and we will do that, I'm sure of it.[LNB]'I'm sure everyone is disappointed but we have to win Sunday now to put this result behind us. They have world class players, but I'm sure when we get them back to Goodison and we get everybody fit - because we had a really inexperienced side out there tonight and in European football you have to play with experience - it will be a different game.'[LNB]Neville added: 'I was still proud of how the younger players played tonight. The scoreline was not what we wanted, but their endeavour, their bravery and their willingness to take the ball even when we were 4-0 down was something you can't instil into someone. It comes from within. That's why I'm proud of all the young players who played tonight.[LNB]'It was a big lesson for us. In European football you can be playing well, like we were in the first half, and then in the space of five minutes you can be 4-0 down.[LNB]'If you makes mistakes and lose a little bit of concentration that's what can happen.[LNB]'At half-time, like everyone else, I was pleased with the way the side had played.
