Osman: Everton an attractive prospect

Everton midfielder Leon Osman is convinced the club remain an attractive proposition for potential players despite failing in their late push for Europe. The Toffees have lost just two of their last 23 games in the Barclays Premier League but a poor start to the campaign has proved costly. With just one match remaining, against Portsmouth on Sunday, the Merseysiders know they will end the season in eighth. Osman, 28, told the club's website: "Not being in Europe is a setback but I don't think it's going to put players off coming here. "We've shown over the last four or five years that we have got a good pedigree and we've got some top players playing for us already. "If we can keep hold of them I don't see any reason why other top-quality players wouldn't want to come and play here as well."
