Everton's latest quest to win the League Cup for the first time in their history will begin at Barnsley after the draw for the second round of the Capital One Cup sent the Toffees to Oakwell.
The Merseysiders, who have twice been runners-up in the competition, must tackle the Sky Bet League One side that ousted Scunthorpe on Tuesday night, while 2013 winners Swansea welcome League Two outfit York to the Liberty Stadium, with ties to be played in the week commencing August 24.
Stoke are also meeting fourth-tier opposition when they visit Luton, and Northampton travel north to Newcastle, while Exeter fans chase them up the motorway to reach Sunderland's Stadium of Light.
