No loan deal for Banega

Sky Sports News understands that Valencia midfielder Ever Banega will not be making a deadline day loan switch to Everton. The Toffees have been in pursuit of the Argentine for much of the summer and last month claimed to have agreed a deal to take the 21-year-old on a season long loan. However, Valencia dismissed such claims and have once again reiterated their stance that the youngster will not be loaned out as the club refuse to loan out players amid their financial crisis. The club are thought to be willing to sell the midfielder but are in no rush to sell as he is regarded as a hot prospect despite an unsuccessful loan spell at Atletico Madrid last term. Everton boss David Moyes has been busy spending the big money received from Manchester City for Joleon Lescott by bringing in Sylvain Distin, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and the imminent arrival of Johnny Heitinga. Valencia are insistent that Banega will not be added to that list unless the Premier League side can cough up the cash to buy the playmaker, which is unlikely as Moyes is busy with other pursuits on Tuesday's deadline day.
