Everton have fined Andy van der Meyde for breaching club rules by going out in Liverpool on Sunday evening.
The Dutch winger hit the headlines after being hospitalised with breathing difficulties in the early hours of Monday morning, prompting a Police investigation in to claims his drinks were spiked.
Manager David Moyes told the club's official website: "I have spoken with Andy and he is sorry for what has happened. He will be fined because he should not have been out but that is the end of the matter."
The 26-year-old is now out of hospital, but the Police are still looking in to the alleged drink spiking.
