'Losing Mikel is probably the biggest blow of it all,' Moyes told Sky Sports. [LNB] Pain in Spain: Arteta needs treatment and is eventually taken off on a stretcher after a fourth-minute tackle by Peeter Lovenkrands[LNB]'We played for nearly an hour against 10 men and created hardly any chances. A draw's not a bad result, but I think in the circumstances we're disappointed not to take all three and bitterly disappointed because of the injury to Mikel.'[LNB]Arteta was understood to be returning to Liverpool for a scan. 'I am concerned,' added Moyes. 'The news I'm getting at the moment isn't great news. The early look at him wasn't good, but I'd rather wait to see.'[LNB]Moyes agreed that Nolan deserved to be sent off for the tackle on Anichebe. 'It was a sending off, there's no doubt about that,' he added. [LNB]'I don't think Kevin Nolan's that type of player but it was a bad tackle and it was definitely a sending off.'[LNB]Chris Hughton, who is in temporary charge, was relieved with the performance as Newcastle limited the Toffees' chances despite their numerical disadvantage. [LNB] Lucky boy: Ryan Taylor escapes sanction after a high tackle on Jack Rodwell[LNB]'For us I think to go down to 10 men at the time that we did, to come through the 90 minutes with Everton having limited good opportunities at our goal is testament to our lads,' said Hughton. [LNB]Hughton reiterated Moyes' view that Nolan's tackle was not intentionally dangerous. 'He's very apologetic,' he added. 'He's an honest professional. We accept it wasn't the best of challenges but my first impression was poorly timed, not malicious. [LNB]'Kevin has apologised to David (Moyes) and to the lad in their team (Anichebe). Midfielder Nicky Butt said Newcastle's chances of victory were ended by Nolan's sending off. [LNB]'It's very difficult and frustrating,' he said. 'We wanted to put a performance in today and try and get a result. But when Kev (Nolan) was sent off it's about trying not to concede and hoping to try and get a goal from a set piece. [LNB]'It was not to be and a point with 10 men is a good result for us.'[LNB] Everton boss Moyes backs inspirational Neville to become top Toffees coach[LNB]Small fortune: Sportsmail pays tribute to Maradona, Zola, Wise and the rest of the diddy men who made a big impression[LNB]NEWCASTLE UNITED FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE NET[LNB]EVERTON FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE NET[LNB][LNB] [LNB]
