Steven Pienaar is looking forward to playing in Europe with Everton after sealing his loan switch from Borussia Dortmund to Goodison Park.
The 25-year-old South African midfielder has moved to David Moyes' side on a season-long loan after enduring a disappointing campaign in the Bundesliga.
He can't wait for Everton's UEFA Cup campaign to start, telling the club's official website: "I am definitely looking forward to Europe and I am looking forward to returning to European football because last season I missed it.
"Everton is known for playing nice football and that was a big thing for me. I am just looking forward to giving my best for the team and doing even better than last season."
Pienaar joined Dortmund in 2006 on a three-year contract from Ajax as a replacement for Arsenal-bound Tomas Rosicky.
He made 25 appearances last term for the Bundesliga side but failed to score and was deemed surplus to requirements by coach Thomas Doll for the new campaign.
