New ref line-up a mystery to Moyes

Everton boss David Moyes claims his club have been left very much in the dark about UEFA's plans to test-drive a new refereeing system with five officials this season.[LNB] The new plan, using two extra assistant referees behind each goal, will get its first airing in this term's Europa League. Everton will have a first-hand look at the new idea when they face AEK Athens on Thursday night at Goodison Park in an opening Group I clash.[LNB] Moyes is willing to give the new plan every chance, but says: "The new rules regarding two extra assistants behind the goals is something we have been given very little detail about."[LNB] He added: "There has been no advice from the referees' body, I believe they will be able to tell the referees what they see and may even come onto the pitch. [LNB] "But if it helps to get decisions right in the end it will be a good thing."[LNB] Moyes is without skipper Phil Neville for three months with knee ligament damage, while Tony Hibbert is suspended and new defender John Heitinga ineligible.[LNB] The Everton chief will give £10million Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov his full debut tonight.[LNB] Moyes says: "Billy will get his opportunity, but he is finding the speed of the game a little hard. But maybe a European match is the sort of game to give him his first start."
