Neville eyes Wembley glory
28 May 2009 - 14:11:12
Captain Phil Neville claims winning the FA Cup with Everton would be his greatest achievement in football.
Neville, 32, has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FA Cup three times with former club Manchester United.
But the versatile skipper believes overcoming Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday would be his greatest achievement.
"My theory throughout my career has been that the next one is always the greatest and this does feel as though it will be the greatest," he told evertonTV.
"If I win a medal on Saturday it will be the best medal I've won.
"In terms of individual success for me to lift the FA Cup will be my greatest ever honour - particularly for this club.
"I've been so lucky for the last two-and-a-half years to be captain of this great club and I've met so many wonderful supporters who have told me about the great Everton captains, great Everton players and that's the beauty of this club - it's got a fantastic history.
"It would be a great start to win the FA Cup and it's time this team had something to show for its efforts."
