Moyes wants four new faces

Everton boss David Moyes remains hopeful of adding up to four new players to his squad before the transfer window closes next week.

Much like 12 months ago, the Toffees have been forced to wait until late in the window to start making signings.

Russia international midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has joined the Toffees this week, while the £22million departure of Joleon Lescott to Manchester City has provided some much-needed transfer funds.

"I would be disappointed if we didn't get at least four, maybe more," Moyes told the club's official website.

"We've made quite a bit of progress I feel and maybe I'll be able to announce something shortly, but not yet.

"The job is to try and make it (the squad) stronger every year and that's what we'll aim to do."
