    Moyes starts to have options

    20 Jan 2010 - 10:59:43

Everton youngsters Jack Rodwell and Dan Gosling are expected to resume full training later this week and could feature in Saturday's FA Cup fourth round clash against Birmingham City.

Gosling has not played since injuring a hamstring in last month's Europa League game against AEK Athens, while Rodwell picked up a similar problem in the home match with BATE Borisov.

The news comes as a further boost to boss David Moyes who is finally starting to see his squad's injury problems ease.

"Rehab is going well," said Rodwell. "I've been stepping it up a bit with Dan Gosling as well, as we've got the same kind of injury and hopefully we'll be training either Wednesday or Thursday."

Gosling added: "It's been six-and-a-half weeks now. The estimated time out was a minimum of six so I'm on track and I should be training this week hopefully.

"Jack and I had the same injury and have been doing the same rehab. I think we'll be back with the boys on Thursday this week, so I can't wait.

"If we're in with a shout for the squad on Saturday then so be it but, if not, then the following week I'll just try and push on and see where it takes us."
