Moyes rues poor decision
03 Feb 2008 - 10:23:59
Everton manager David Moyes was furious after seeing Andrew Johnson have a late effort ruled out for offside in the goalless draw at Blackburn Rovers.
The point leaves the Toffees fourth in the table, but Moyes thought his side had dominated an eventful Ewood Park clash.
He also could not believe that Johnson's strike had been disallowed by a belated offside flag, after James Vaughan had robbed Rovers keeper Brad Friedel.
An irate Moyes said: "To be fair it was just a poor decision. I said after the Merseyside derby that we're not criticising referees and that we're getting on with it.
"But that decision could be crucial and I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.
"We've played well and created one or two chances and limited Blackburn.
"Overall, I'm pleased with the performance. The players are doing great at the moment, but I'm disappointed we didn't take all three points."
