Moyes predicts quiet window

David Moyes has warned Everton fans not to expect any big-name signings in the January transfer window.
The Toffees signed Lars Jacobsen, Louis Saha and Marouane Fellaini in August, but Moyes insists there is no money in the Goodison Park coffers to further strengthen the squad.
He said: "Anything the club have got they'll give me but, at this moment in time, I'd be very surprised if we've got some.
"But that doesn't mean to say I'm not out there looking for loans or Bosman signings or anything else that can help us.
"I don't think we'll be selling because we don't have the numbers. We're short at this present time and that limits what I can do off the bench.
"Not every football manager is given money and part of the job is to show you can work without it - and I'm happy to do that.
"Unless something changes we aren't going to have a sugar daddy who'll throw money at it, so what we have to do is good housekeeping and hope we can pick up a couple of players on the cheap who will improve the squad.
"We'd rather add if we can but we're in a financial world, not just at Everton, where it's difficult.
"I think you'll find three or four Premier League clubs and maybe two or three near the bottom will spend to get out of trouble but overall it will be a tight period.
"Maybe that's needed to get the astronomical prices for players to come down."
