Moyes opens contract talks

Everton boss David Moyes has confirmed he has opened negotiations with chairman Bill Kenwright over extending his contract.
Moyes has just one year remaining on his existing deal with speculation suggesting he would wait to discover the effect the club's proposed new stadium would have on his transfer funds before pledging his future to the Toffees.
But the 45-year-old Scot has now confirmed he has held brief preliminary talks with Kenwright about extending his time at the Goodison Park helm.
"We've started talks and we're hoping things will be wrapped up quickly," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo.
Moyes joined the Toffees from Preston North End in 2002 and is the third current longest serving manager in the Premier League - behind Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.
Kenwright has continually claimed that neither he nor Moyes were in any rush to open talks on a new deal.
