Moyes offers Fellaini backing

Everton boss David Moyes has backed midfielder Marouane Fellaini to hit top form in the closing weeks of the campaign.

The 21-year-old Belgium international has scored six times in 27 appearances since his £15million arrival from Standard Liege, but Moyes accepts that he has struggled in recent games.

He told the club's official website: "What he has done for us is affect things in both boxes and, up until January, he was probably one of our best players.

"But since then, he has found things difficult. That said, he is still doing a good job for us. He is a good worker and he wants to listen. He will get better with time.

"We brought him in at the start of the season because we needed a bit of stature. We knew when we got him that there was scope for him to develop.

"Your first season in the Premier League is always difficult and it was never going to be any different for Marouane."
