Moyes hails in-form Howard

Everton manager David Moyes believes Tim Howard's form has been one of the main reasons for the club's successful campaign.

The former Manchester United shot-stopper kept his 16th Premier League clean sheet of the season in Saturday's goalless draw with Tottenham, a new club record.

"He's been fantastic," said an ecstatic Moyes. "Tim Howard is a professional who works very hard at his game.

"But the record is also a compliment for the players in front of him. Good teams start with good platforms at the back and we have that.

"Tottenham is a difficult game and if anyone thought any different they were wrong.

"We are enjoying our football at the moment and the boys are doing a great job at the moment."

Everton's previous clean sheet record had been held by Neville Southall.
