Everton boss David Moyes has allayed fears that Jermaine Beckford suffered a serious injury during Saturday's pre-season friendly win over Preston North End.
The summer signing from Leeds United scored his first goals for the club after bagging a brace in the 3-0 victory at Deepdale.
However, Beckford limped off towards the end of the game after a taking a blow to the ankle.
But despite concerns over the striker's fitness with the new Premier League looming large on the horizon, Moyes doesn't believe that Beckford's injury is too serious.
"I don't think it was bad. He got a kick on the top of the foot when he went to strike it and had to come off," he revealed.
"Nothing to worry about. I think he will probably be back training on Monday or Tuesday."
