Everton boss David Moyes has snapped up Wigan Athletic's Carlo Nash as the back-up goalkeeper to Tim Howard.
The 34-year-old moves to Goodison Park on a two-year contract for an undisclosed transfer fee.
Nash told the club's official website: "I've known of Everton's interest for the last couple of weeks and there have been a few sleepless nights hoping it would go through.
"Finally it has and I'm over the moon."
Nash has featured in almost 250 League games during a career that has taken in spells at Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Preston and Stockport County.
Everton completed the signing of Manchester United striker Louis Saha earlier in the day.
