Moyes adamant over Lescott

Everton manager David Moyes has repeated his stance that no players will be allowed to leave the club this summer, as Manchester City continue their pursuit of Joleon Lescott.

The 26-year-old England defender has been the subject of at least two offers from the Citizens, while the Toffees also rejected a transfer request from the player on Tuesday.

Moyes told the club's official website: "I have always said that we are not selling any players and that hasn't changed.

"We will continue to work with him as we appreciate his many qualities as a player.

"I have said all along that I have no intention of selling my best players. Joleon is simply not for sale."

Lescott, who is under contract with the Toffees until the summer of 2012, moved to Merseyside from Wolves in the summer of 2006 and has made nearly 150 appearances for the club.
