Moyes: No Howard move

Everton boss David Moyes has dismissed talk of an imminent move to convert Tim Howard's loan switch from Manchester United into a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old USA international has impressed in his first few months with the Toffees, but Moyes is holding fire on any attempt to secure a permanent agreement.

He told the club's official website: "We've not even gone near it at the moment. We've got him for the season.

"We've been pleased with him and we've been pleased with the defenders in general."

Meanwhile, Toffees left-back Nuno Valente has made a return to full training after a groin injury.

Head physio Mick Rathbone told the club's official website: "Nuno has joined in training after his groin strain.

"He has done all the running, sprinting and twisting without any symptoms, so he is okay to get back into training."
