Moyes still chasing fourth

David Moyes insists Everton will not be letting up in their pursuit of the final UEFA Champions League spot. The Toffees are outsiders to finish inside the Premier League's top four, with Aston Villa and Arsenal currently blocking their path. They are only a point behind Martin O'Neill's Villa, but have slipped nine points adrift of the Gunners. With only six games of the season remaining it is unlikely that they will be able to close that gap, but a place in next season's Europa League will provide some consolation. Moyes accepts that his side appear destined to miss out on a Champions League place, but has made it clear that he will not be giving up without a fight. "While it's mathematically possible we are going to hang on in there and try for it," said the Scot. "I think Arsenal have got some difficult games in their run-in, so we are hoping that maybe they will slip up. But I think the result at Portsmouth the other week (a 2-1 defeat) is the one which made it difficult for us. "If we had beaten Aston Villa then I think there may still have been an opportunity, but the draw (3-3 on Sunday) makes it hard. Aston Villa, I think, have still got an outside chance."
