Moyes not worried by injuries

Everton manager David Moyes is hoping to kick-start a good run of form without a number of key players. The likes of Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta and Phil Neville are all currently sidelined for the Goodison Park outfit, who take on Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday, but Moyes is hoping his team can cope without them. The Scottish boss wants the Toffees to be firing on all cylinders when the injured players return, so they can slot straight back into the team without any problems. "We want those injured players to be coming back when the team's playing very well so it's easy for them to come in," he said. "Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta, Victor Anichebe, Phil Neville - we want the players playing really well so when those boys come back we are not looking for them to help us. "They should be looking around and realising that the team is good and they can slide in easily." Phil Jagielka is still sidelined after suffering cruciate ligament damage earlier in the year, and although Moyes revealed the defender is far from ready for a return, the Blues manager thinks he will still have a chance to force his way into Fabio Capello's World Cup squad. "He's making progress but I think it would be wrong to be saying very good progress," he added. "We hope to get him back in a month or two. "He will have time to do that. Obviously we want to try and get him back before the Christmas period if we can. "But I think it would be wrong to say he was right on and ready to play because he's not that at the moment. "Steven Piennar is getting better, so we'll make a late decision to see how he is but he is improving."
