David Moyes praised Everton's resilience as his side survived a Stoke fightback to win 3-1 at Goodison Park and push to within four points of a UEFA Champions League spot.[LNB] The Toffees were firmly in control in the first period and raced into a two-goal lead through strikes by Jo and Joleon Lescott.[LNB]But Stoke came out a different side in the second-half and pulled one back via a Ryan Shawcross header seven minutes after the re-start.[LNB]They then put Everton under severe pressure before Marouane Fellaini netted in injury time to seal the win for the Toffees.[LNB]Moyes told Sky Sports that his side had played well in the first period and he was hoping that they could have even maybe added a third before half-time.[LNB]"I have to give Stoke a lot of credit - they got right back in the game," he said.[LNB]"What they can do Stoke, I think they did the same at Aston Villa last week, came from two down and got back to two each.[LNB]"So the word resilience was right, we had to be tough, we had to be hard in that period and we stuck at it, got through it and in the end managed to get another third goal."[LNB]
