Everton boss David Moyes has hailed Steven Pienaar following his impressive performance against West Ham. The 27-year-old midfielder put in a stylish display at Goodison Park - creating the second and third goals in the Toffees' 3-1 win. Turning on the style, Pienaar menaced the Hammers' players, weaving in and out as he set up Louis Saha's finish for the third goal. Adding to a string of eye-catching displays after filling the void created by Mikel Arteta's injury, the South African midfielder now looks certain to start against Chelsea in the FA Cup final at the end of the month. Heaping praise on a superb performance against the Hammers, Moyes said: "Steven's turn in the box to make the third was exquisite. "He has stepped up to the plate in recent weeks. Mikel Arteta gave us a great platform in the middle of the season with his form and Steven is really helping us to blossom again. "I have to give great credit to the players as there has been no let-up. We showed great character to come back and do the job." Saha cancelled out Radoslav Kovac's spectacular 30-yard opener for West Ham with a penalty after James Tomkins had tripped Tim Cahill. Tomkins was sent off for his challenge, causing uproar amongst the visiting fans before Joseph Yobo then gave Everton the lead before Saha added his second. "I thought Louis's overall contribution was much better," said the Everton boss. "It is just a case of him going out and showing it. "The most important thing though was I wanted to win the match. I am not going to play people just because I am looking at the FA Cup. "We have options and I wanted to give people opportunities to see what they could do."
