Moutinho extends Sporting stay
Everton target Joao Moutinho has signed a contract extension with Sporting which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2014.
The Toffees were strongly linked with a move for the 22-year-old last summer and reportedly had a £11.8million offer rejected.
Moutinho had been contracted to the Lisbon outfit until 2013, but has now put pen-to-paper on a one-year extension.
His contract now includes a whopping €22.5million (£20m) release clause
should an interested party wish to hold transfer talks.
Sporting are currently second in the Portuguese Liga, four points adrift of league leaders Porto.
