Mongongu leaves Monaco to join Evian

Central defender Cedric Mongongu has left second division AS Monaco to join Evian, the French first division newboys announced on Monday.

The 22-year Democratic Republic of Congo international, who was linked earlier in the summer with French champions Lille and English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers, is likely to make his debut at Bordeaux on Saturday.
