Everton forward James McFadden has agreed a new contract to extend his stay at Goodison Park beyond the end of the coming campaign.
The 23-year-old Scotland international has been with the Toffees since September 2003, having moved to Merseyside for £1.25million from Motherwell.
McFadden told the club's official website: "It's good that it's sorted.
"I've always wanted to stay and it's finalised now and hopefully I can get on with my football at Everton.
"Every time there's speculation that I'm going somewhere, but I'm quite happy now and just about to sign a new contract at Everton.
"I hope I can break into the team. Andy Johnson has come in and done really well, he looks sharp and can score goals.
"Hopefully I can get in, I want to be in the team and I don't mind who I'm alongside as long as I'm playing."
McFadden has scored ten goals in 97 appearances for Everton.
