McFadden a derby doubt

Everton forward James McFadden looks set to miss the Merseyside derby after suffering a hamstring injury on international duty.

The 23-year-old limped out of Scotland's 2-1 win against Lithuania in a Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday after just 22 minutes.

His condition is still to be fully assessed, but it appears very unlikely that he will be able to face Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Everton's other Scotland internationals, David Weir and Gary Naysmith, came through the game in Kaunas unscathed.
