Rennes midfielder Stephane Mbia has told skysports.com that he is determined to join Marseille despite interest from England. The 23-year-old Cameroon international has been linked with a move away for some time and appears to be on the verge of joining Marseille. The two clubs have agreed a €12million (£10.26m) fee and the player's agent, Ralf Isseneger, met l'OM officials on Thursday to discuss further details of the move. It has been reported that Everton and Stoke remain keen to sign Mbia, though, and Isseneger has claimed that they are still in contention for his signature. "There are still a few details to sort out, but we are closer," Isseneger said. "L'OM is Stephane's favoured club, as he has always said, but the persistence of the two English clubs has to be taken into consideration." DreamHowever, Mbia says he has already made his decision and expects to seal a switch to the Stade Velodrome soon. "My first choice has always been Marseille," he told skysports.com. "This is my dream club. From the moment I knew of their interest, they became my No.1 destination. "The deal is almost done. We are not far away. "I will be meeting the manager soon for discussions. He is the main reason I decided to join this wonderful club." Potters bidStoke chairman Peter Coates, meanwhile, has confirmed the club's interest but admits a deal is unlikely. He told The Sentinel: "If anything does happen, it looks a long way off at the moment."
