Graeme Jones is fully committed to Everton despite heading the betting to be Swansea's next manager, according to Roberto Martinez.
Jones is a long-serving assistant to Martinez and worked under the Spaniard at the Welsh club between 2007 and 2009.
He has subsequently followed him to Wigan and Everton, but is often linked with branching out on his own.
That was the case this week when Michael Laudrup left Swansea, but Everton boss Martinez was not entertaining speculation on Friday.
"It's nothing new. Graeme and I have been working together since 2007 and it's good when you get those links because it means people still remember the work that you did at a previous club," he said on Everton's official website.
"But Graeme is fully focused at Everton and it's not even a question.
"The only thing that matters is the results at Everton and there's not going to be any changes in that respect."
Veteran Garry Monk has been named as Swansea's caretaker manager, with Laudrup in the process of taking legal action relating to his dismissal.
"I am deeply disappointed to have been dismissed as manager of Swansea City," he said on Thursday.
"In particular, the manner in which it happened and the actions the club has taken since notifying me in the briefest of letters which gave no reasons why such hasty and final action was deemed necessary.
"I am, of course taking legal advice and the League Managers' Association have already written to the club asking for a proper explanation as to why I was summarily dismissed. Three members of my staff have also been dismissed.
"The club has informed me that I cannot visit the training ground to say my farewells to the players so I do that now through this statement."
Forty-three-year-old Jones enjoyed a 15-year playing career which was spent in the lower reaches of English football and Scotland. He took in clubs such as Bridlington Town before successful spells with Doncaster and Wigan.
