Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that he wants to bring USA forward Landon Donovan to Eastlands this summer.[LNB] The 28-year-old United States forwaard spent a period on loan at Everton last season and proved a real hit in the Premier League.[LNB]He is still contracted to Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles Galaxy, but the Italian has admitted that he is interested in his signature.[LNB]Speaking in New York as City prepare to face Sporting Lisbon in a pre-season friendly on Friday, Mancini: "We will have to see. The market is open until the end of August. It could be, because Donovan is a good player."[LNB]Donovan was one of the better players at the World Cup in South Africa, and the versatile front man also had an impressive spell on loan at Everton last season.[LNB]However, City could have a hard time prising him away from the Los Angeles Galaxy, with Major League Soccer bosses making it clear they have no intention of selling the league's biggest homegrown name.[LNB]The former Bayer Leverkusen star has been with the Galaxy since 2005, but during the American off-season he had a spell on loan at Bayern Munich in 2009 and with the Toffees last term.[LNB]Donovan made 10 league appearances for the Merseyside outfit, and Mancini saw enough to catch his eye.[LNB]City have already splashed the cash in the transfer market this summer with the signings of Yaya Toure, David Silva and Jerome Boateng.
